Army of Me has been redefining Swedish cool by imbuing their clothes with a global vibe. Since 2008, Stockholm-based designers Daniel Wahlberg and Richard Sjöblom have organically developed small-scale, focused collections, that introduce versatile, wearable pieces, that blend relaxed silhouettes of sportswear and signature, structured elements.
For their Fall 2015 collection, shown at Amsterdam Fashion Week, the design duo introduced bright orange in their otherwise exclusively black, white and grey palette. Asymmetrical shirts that incorporate elements from a deconstructed blazer were a great addition, as were the strap details throughout the collection. Another standout piece was the black wool sweater-cum-coat with grey brushstrokes, perfectly styled with a pair of distressed pants. The Swedish designers managed to stay true to the Army of Me DNA while introducing unexpected elements that will keep their audience coming back for more.
